Tenders worth around EUR 575 million launched under OP "Transport and transport infrastructure" 2014 – 2020

Tender worth about 575 million Euros OP "Transport and Transport Infrastructure" 2014 to 2020 are in the advanced stage of implementation. This was announced today during the second Monitoring Committee of the program. The meeting was opened by the Deputy Chair of the Managing Authority and Director of the "Coordination of programs and projects" to the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Galina Vasileva.

Projects, for which there have been procedures for selection of contractor, are the implementation of Lot 1 of the third metro line, which includes the section from blvd. "Yanko Sakazov" to Krasno Selo residential area. Tender procedures have also been launched for the construction of Lot 3.1 and Lot 3.3 "Struma". With regard to Lot 3.2 of the highway that passes through the Kresna Gorge a procedure for the design of an alternative version of the track is in progress.

During the meeting the methodology and criteria for evaluation and selection of proposals were adopted. Furthermore, the National Communication Strategy and Annual Action Plan on information measures and publicity were also agreed. During the Monitoring Committee of OP "Transport and transport infrastructure" beneficiaries reported on the progress of the preparation of projects to apply for funding under the program.

Representatives of the managing authority, beneficiaries, and local executive power, NGOs, trade unions, experts from the European Commission and others participated in the meeting.
