Under OP "Transport and Transport Infrastructure" 2014-2020 we have 673 million for development of the railway infrastructure, said the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski during a discussion forum: "Construction in 2016 - Prospects and Challenges. Opportunities in programming period 2014 - 2020 ".

These meetings provide opportunities for the businesses and the government institutions to exchange experience, ideas and perspectives. With these words Minister Moskovski addressed the participants in the forum. According to him, the teams responsible for management of the operational program will deal with the existing challenges until 2020 and all projects will be completed with the required quality on schedule.

About € 320 million of the whole amount will be used for completion of the modernization of the entire railway Plovdiv-Burgas, commented Minister Moskovski. Under the new programming period we will be working on section Elin Pelin-September.

In connection with the railway projects that are currently being implemented with funds under OP "Transport 2007-2013", Minister Moskovski informed that there is more dynamism in construction payments, as well as their certification. Three major projects will be completed during the first half of 2016 and this should not cause huge financial damage, added Minister Moskovski.

We have prevented any loss of funds under OP "Transport 2007-2013" recalled Ivaylo Moskovski and commented that about € 1.6 billion were paid to beneficiaries and reimbursements by Brussels under the programme amount to over € 1 billion.
