Bulgaria is changing every day thanks to its membership in the European Community, said the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Petar Kirov during the opening of the photo exhibition "OP "Transport" 2007-2013 in frames". The exhibition is organized on the occasion of Europe Day and will be open until May 16 at the Largo (the space in front of the Council of Ministers), Sofia.

"It is not enough to say that the OP “Transport" 2007 -2013 has 4 billion lev allocated to the development of the infrastructure in Bulgaria. It is not enough to say that over 2.3 billion lev have been repaid to the beneficiaries. What matters is what lies beyond these figures and what remains after us for future generations”, said Petar Kirov. According to him Bulgaria continues to build its new image of genuine, full-fledged member of the European Union that continues to evolve.

In response to a journalist's question Deputy Minister Kirov explained that he foresees the appeals to affect the deadline of the project to build the third subway line and hopes that it will be commissioned by the end of 2018.

The exhibition "OP "Transport" 2007-2013 in frames" includes photos of the construction and implementation of some of the largest projects funded under the programme. Among others these include the construction of the railway line Plovdiv - Burgas and Svilengrad – the Turkish border; Trakia and Struma highways; projects to improve navigation; the extension of the underground.
