Contract on Drafting of Investment Project on Third Line Signed Today

Today, 18 August 2010, Metropoliten EAD CEO Stoyan Bratoev, of the one part, and, of the other, David Krasa and Vladimir Sydl, members of the Management Board of Metroproject Praha signed a contract on the drafting of an investment project on the third line. The contract is signed on the basis of an open public procurement procedure with the following object: Drafting of an investment project for the third line of the Sofia underground, Knyazhevo Quarter - City Centre - Botevgradsko Chausse Blvd., for above-ground transport. The section, which the investment project will concern, is about 21 km long and has 23 stations.

The contract with the selected contractor is of the value of 3,336,000 BGN (2,780,000 before VAT) and will be financed under the European Regional Development Fund through OP Transport 2007-2013, Priority Axis 5 Technical Assistance. The contract has duration of 30 months since its entry into force.

The subject of the contract includes feasibility studies (drafting of versions of a route and an improved project of the selected version), drafting of documents for environmental impact assessment, cost-benefit analysis and financial analysis and drafting of tender documentation.
